Companies buy posting credits. A role costs one credit the first time, and double for each repost — so advertising the same job indefinitely gets expensive rather than being free.

For candidates

Ten applications a day are included. You can buy more for a given day — but the limit exists so companies can trust that an application means something, not to sell you extras.
